About ECVS

ECVS grew from the gaps I kept seeing in care.

After years in emergency, primary, and forensic nursing, I had seen too many survivors, families, and nurses left to navigate systems that did not connect the way they should. I founded Emerald Coast Victim Services because Northwest Florida needed something better.

Emerald Coast Victim Services founder and community engagement

ECVS is a nurse-led Florida 501(c)(3) serving Northwest Florida. We help people understand their options, provide education for professionals, and make trusted local resources easier to find.

Our mission is to reduce the health effects of violence and trauma through education, advocacy, community partnerships, and innovative programs that improve access to survivor-centered care and support.

We believe where someone experiences violence should never determine whether knowledgeable, compassionate support is available.

01

Why nurse-led matters

Dr. Amanda Davis, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, brings years of bedside, forensic, and community experience to the work. ECVS understands both the health effects of violence and the systems people must navigate afterward.

02

Rooted in Northwest Florida

We build around the realities of this region: rural distance, uneven access, workforce needs, and the local organizations already doing important work.

03

The work is still growing

ECVS has provided professional education, hosted regional forums, shared community resources, and helped strengthen local connections. We are honest about what exists today and what still needs to be built.

Support should be informed, local, and clear.
